BRUSSELS – EU president Donald Tusk believes it is “high time to now, a large pan-European coalition” to form an ambitious EU. That twitters he as a result of the formation of the governing coalition in Germany by the social democrats (SDP) and the conservative CDU/CSU. He calls the new grand coalition (GroKo) “good news.”
Tusk calls on the European leaders to come up with an “ambitious budget, wise decisions about migration, and a better eurozone.” The coming months are such important topics on the EU agenda that, as the members of the SDP, the green light for the new government of Angela Merkel, the EU can be built.
“Maybe, we can that within five months”, tweets the permanent president of the European Council hopeful, referring to the period of time that the formation in Germany took.
