Quentin Tarantino gets it from all sides criticism in Hollywood. That he owes both to his response to a victim of abuse by Roman Polanski when the film he makes about Charles Manson, the murderer of Polanski’s wife Sharon Tate. That writes Page Six.
Tarantino had the last time already several times to apologize. Recently did he even regret the direction of Uma Thurman, that he forced himself her stunts in the movie Kill Bill, which led to a car accident, with permanent damage for the actress. “It is one of the things in my life that I most regret.” And after all the commotion surrounding the scandals which started with the accusations in the direction of Harvey Weinstein, responded to Tarantino at the time: “I knew enough to do more than I have done.”
All are spijtbetuigingen seem hypocritical, writes Page Six, now there is a judgment of him emerging from an old interview. In 2003, he told interviewer Howard Stern about the 13-year-old alleged victim of Polanski: “He raped no thirteen year old. He had sex with a minor. That is not rape.” And the suggestion that the girl with drugs and alcohol was lamgeslagen, he responded: “No, it was not. They wanted (the sex) and datete with the man.”
The victim, Samantha Geimer, the Daily News let you know Tarantino can be forgiven for his statements. “I hope he himself is not ridiculous by so teblijven talk. I’m not gefurstreerd, but I’d probably feel better if he now realizes that he was wrong, after fifteen years later the facts have been heard. Hopefully he will realize now that it didn’t happen in the way that he did to prevent it.”
But Tarantino is not so easy from within Hollywood. Now he gets criticism on his latest film about Charles Manson, among more of Girls producer Judd Apatow. Speaking on Twitter his surprise at the fact that the filmmaker made a film about nota bene Polanski’s wife, Sharon Tate, who became victim of the mass murderer. “Why is funding a person this?”, he asks. Sony, that’s a hundred million dollars in the project, invested, seems no answer to want to give to Page Six. On social media called for a boycott when the film was released.
It would Leonardi DiCapri and Margot Robbie are rumored to have a role in the controversial movie to play, but this is not officially confirmed. It makes sister Debra Tate does not matter who in the movie acts. They responded earlier wroth on a different movie-in-the-make about Charles Manson in which Hilary Duff the role of Sharon Tate. “It’s definitely tasteless. There is no mention of class when you see how everyone is rushing to be on time for a film to release for the fiftieth anniversary of this terrible event,” she says. They are not only referring to Tarantino, but also on American Psycho director Mary Harron, who is also a movie, called Charlie Says. Plays Doctor Who actor Matt Smith has a starring role.
