Quentin Tarantino has made his excuses to Samantha Gimer. The then 13-year-old Geimer was raped by Roman Polanski and Tarantino took it in an earlier stage, even before his fellow-director.
In a statement, that Tarantino gave to Anne Thompson of IndieWire, the director apologized to the address of Geimer. “I want to publicly offer my apologies to Samantha Geimer. Fifteen years later, I realize that it was wrong. Mrs. Geimer was raped by Roman Polanski.”
“When Howard the about Polanski had, I wanted to be the devil’s advocate play, and something provocerends say. In doing so, I totally ignore the feelings of Geimer and that I’m sorry.”
“So, ms. Geimer, I was ignorant and insensitive and also incorrect.”
In 2003, Tarantino interview with Howard Stern, in which he said that it was not rape, because “Geimer herself sex wild.” Last week, fingering Geimer in an interview with The New York Daily News back on these statements by saying that the statements of Tarantino’s “were not true and he knows it.”
