Chelsea player Eden Hazard was given Wednesday at the Gala of the Golden Shoe, the prize for the Best Belgian abroad. The 27-year-old Hazard won in the election with 326 points narrowly from Kevin De Bruyne (315), that the previous two editions each won.
“I’m happy with my first trophy in Belgium, hopefully not my last”, he responded. “I want to be with Belgium in the world cup or the european CHAMPIONSHIP win. I’m happy with the trophy, but it is not the most important thing: football is a collective sport. I would like all my team-mates at Chelsea and the national team to thank, my coaches and everyone who me the past year has helped.”
Napoli-belgian star Dries Mertens finished with 270 points in third place, the wealth is large, currently with the Red Devils. On the roll of honour follows Hazard and Kevin De Bruyne.
