WASHINGTON – The U.s. Senate on Wednesday a budgetdeal closed for two years in which both the Republicans and Democrats can find themselves. The new budget provides more money for defense and infrastructure, but in addition, leave space for social policy.
The leaders have also agreed an emergency fund to cater for victims of emergencies, to help and government programs to finance to the abuse of heavy morphine-like painkillers.
“The bill is the product of extensive negotiations between the leaders of the Congress and the White House,” said Republican leader Mitch McConnell on the Senaatsvloer. “We have worked hard to provide a common basis to find, and his focus remained on serving the American people.”
