European parliament votes against transnational lists

A majority of Meps at a European constituency in the upcoming European elections voted. Therefore, there are no transnational lists, where European politicians in all countries of the European Union are eligible.

A large majority of 368 mps voted this afternoon in the European parliament against the proposal of a European constituency for the European elections. 274 members of parliament voted for, 34 others abstained.
