The east coast of Taiwan Tuesday night hit by an earthquake with a force of 6.4 on the Richter scale. In the city of Hualien is a hotel caved in, but of any victims is not yet reported.
It was the U.s. geological service USGS that the earthquake was reported. The epicenter was located 22 kilometers northeast of Hualien, at a depth of 1 km.
On the social networking site Twitter has appeared in the meantime, the first images of damaged buildings and roads.
Last Sunday the area was still startled by an almost equally strong quake, but when there was no damage reported.
