Reykjavik – A 15-year-old student discovered a mistake in a textbook about quantum mechanics. The writers of the book have two models mixed up.
That reports the NOS. The boy, called Halfdan, came to know that the writers on the Rutherford-Bohr-model, while the Heisenberg-Schrodinger-atomic model meant.
Together with his teacher he sent the improvement to the board of education in Iceland. His correction is confirmed by the physical writers, and the editor is now informed of the adjustment in the manual.
