The Red Flames worked the previous month, their winter training in the run-up to the kwalificatiecampagne for the world cup women’s football in 2019. Monday collected a part of the selection again in the Belgian Football Center in Tubize for a mental and physical check-up.
At the end of February, the Belgian women football together again for the Cyprus Cup. Monday came sixteen Red Flames together in Tubize. “We want the physical and mental condition of the players. The Red Flames are also individually monitored towards the next competitions,” said coach Ives Serneels.
Also fourteen High Potentials, a group of talented young Red Flames, which the staff since this season also pay attention to, underwent the check-up. “We try to find the High Potentials as frequently as possible to see and an optimal learning environment by providing them together with the A-players to train,” said Serneels.
The Belgian Red Flames (FIFA 23) from 26 February to 8 march 2018 again participated in the prestigious Cyprus Women’s Cup. Belgium became Thursday classified in group B and takes it on against Austria (FIFA 20), Czech republic (FIFA 37) and Spain (FIFA 17).
The participation in the Cyprus Cup is part of the preparation for the kwalificatiecampagne for the world cup women’s football in 2019.
