Dennis Edwards of The Temptations died

Dennis Edwards, the lead singer of the American soulgroep The Temptations died in a hospital in Chicago. That his family has announced. He was 74 years of age. Edwards is best known as the voice of the world famous “Papa was a Rolling Stone”. Edwards, who just today, 75 years would have become, died of a meningitis. The former lead singer lived in a suburb of Saint Louis, a city in the state of Missouri. Since his diagnosis in may, he stayed regularly in the hospital. Edwards was in 1977 briefly married to Ruth Pointer, the oldest member of the pop group The Pointer Sisters.
