Last Sunday night, were in New York, the Grammy Awards for the sixtieth time awarded. Rapper Kendrick Lamar opened the show for the major music awards and was also a further five frames to take home. The big winner of the night was Bruno Mars, who is a whopping six statuettes received.

For singer Bruno Mars, the evening was truly magical, because he won in all six categories for which he was nominated. He received a prize for best album, for the album 24K Magic, best song (“That’s what I like) and best R&B performance.

Singer Ed Sheeran was not present but won two Grammy’s: one for the album Divide and one for Best Pop Solo Performance with his hit Shape of You. The 21-year-old singer Alessia Cara was chosen to be best new artist. Alessia scored hits such as Scars to your beautiful and Stay. Shakira got her album El Dorado for a Grammy Best Latin Pop Album.

Miley Cyrus and Elton John

The 70-year-old Elton John is still not too old to act and, together with Miley Cyrus a surprising experience!

Dutchman no prices

The Dutch conductor Reinbert de Leeuw has no Grammy award. The conductor was the only Dutch person to be nominated for one of the most important music awards in the world, in the category Best Classical Compendium.
