Sanne Cant has also the last world cup race of the season on her name written. The resigning world champion in the women won for the Italian Eva Lechner and britain’s Evie Richards. In the background, things went very wrong for two favorietes for the world cup next week: Pauline Ferrand-Prévot and Jolanda Neff went hard against the ground.
Cant and Lechner pulled together early on adventure, then Cant the Italian champion a little after halfway, left behind. The world champion could onbedreigd to its fifth victory in nine Wereldbekermanches drive. The victory made for our compatriot not a big difference, because Cant had last week in Nommay, after all, already assured of the overall victory in the world Cup.
In the background ran the match for the third place totally wrong for two of the three candidates: Evie Richards, Pauline Ferrand-Prévot and Jolanda Neff fought a long time with each other for the last spot on the podium, to Ferrand-Prévot and Neff both on a slanted slope down sheaves. Both ladies had the fight cease, Ferrand-Prévot handle to the ribs and was on a draagberrie away. The two counts as potential favourites for the world CHAMPIONSHIPS in limburg next week: Ferrand-Prévot won the rainbow jersey in 2015, while the Swiss Neff reigning world champion mountain biking.
