“All in all, we have a good day time,” opened Peter Chun. “Although it remains to be careful in the Monte Carlo. The first 2 rides of the day were good, but in the 3rd stage abandon the remproblemen suddenly the head from a pole collided. Happy broke the wheel was not bad and we could, with the necessary loss of time, reach the finish. This afternoon were the weather conditions particularly difficult. A wrong tyre choice caused us again to lose the time but the scratch in WRC2 in the last ride of the day gives confidence.”

“To be completely satisfied of this day we were just a little too erratic,” decided Chun. “The victory in WRC2, we may forget. Kopecky has a 9-minute lead. The second place is still possible. The gap with The Mevius is less than 30 seconds. But in Monte Carlo you never know. Saturday, there are some rides with snow and ice. This contest is so long time not ridden. We must continue to believe in, at the right time to push, but especially finish and points handle.”

Very strong debut of Guillaume de Mevius

Guillaume de Mevius (Peugeot 208 T16) makes a strong impression with his debut in the world CHAMPIONSHIP rally. The son of Grégoire de Mevius, two-time world champion in the standaardwagens, during the second day of the Monte Carlo moved up to 15th place overall. In the WRC2 class, the Belgian on a unexpected second place.

“That position is fantastic. Unexpectedly actually”, put The Mevius after the end of the shore. “The reason why we are so high is because we the past two days are free of errors remained. This is a particularly difficult contest. My assignment is to gain experience. During the match we have a lot of stuff. Things that to us during the explorations have not been noticed or that we didn’t know. The or have no grip, for example, the rempunten search and so on. Our notes, we have constant need to update. But see, this is how you learn things. Therefore we are here. The one ride I feel more comfortable than the other. I ride my own race and know that I am not as quick ben as the riders in front of me. With the result, I am not busy. Only when we are in the servicepark arrived, I learned that we are 15th, and 2nd in WRC2.”
