The Danish Caroline Wozniacki (WTA 2) has the Australian Open to her name written. In the final she tapped the number 1 in the world, Simona Halep in three sets: 7-6, 3-6 and 6-4. It is Wozniacki’s first Grand Slam victory of her career. As icing on the cake and solves them Monday Halep as number one on the WTA rankings. The Romanian was also her first Grand Slam win, but must still wait a while.
For both women there was a lot on the game. Both Wozniacki as Halkep knew in the past, still no Grand Slam tournament to their list of achievements to write. In addition, would the winner of the Australian Open the number one to be or remain on the WTA-ranking.

The third set had to bring the decision, and just like in set one gave Wozniacki early for the break. Halep straightened the back and struck back. They went out and about, but Wozniacki did not do.
