La Redoute, traditional headsman in liège-Bastogne-Liège, this year, for the first time in the Walloon Arrow climbed. The slope of 2 kilometers at an average of 8.9 percent, after 82 km, the second of eleven obstacles in the 82nd edition of the Ardennenklassieker, which since 2011 is part of the WorldTour.

The race is 258 kilometers long, starts at the Place Saint-Lambert in Liège, and comes to Rue Jean Jaurès in Ans.
What about Valverde?
Prudhomme hopes that Alejandro Valverde, who last year both classics won, will again shine in the Ardennes. The 37-year-old Spaniard with five victories already record-holder in the Flèche wallonne and in Liège-Bastogne-Liège with a fifth victory to the record of Eddy Merckx match.
