Evacuations in and around Paris due to flooding

In a around Paris on Thursday, nearly 400 people evacuated due to the rising water, police said.

The evacuation focused mainly on the district of Val-de-Marne south of the French capital. But also in the centre of the City of light, there were concerns. The Seine, outside of its banks. Tourist attractions were not accessible, public transport became disordered.

About a thousand families in the region were without power as a result of the floods.

The water level would be Saturday to 5,8 to 6,2 m rise. That is the same level that the city in 2016 to investigate.
