Many think that Sergey Sirotkin his seat at Williams due to the rubles of the Russian oligarch Boris Rotenberg and his bank SMP. Stoffel Vandoorne want that image in perspective and recording it for the young Russian.

Sirotkin brings reportedly about fifteen million euros to Williams, and that amount comes from ” SMP Racing, the sporting branch of the eponymous bank. That is certainly not unimportant in the choice of Williams, but Stoffel Vandoorne takes on the Russian youth.

Vandoorne has Sirotkin of his period from the GP2 in 2015 and would like to emphasize that the 22-year-old Russian in his seat at Williams is certainly not stolen.

“Williams has a good decision,” said Vandoorne in ‘La Dernière Heure’.

“I know Sergey from the preliminary race series and I can confirm that it is a excellent rider. He is very fast and he works very hard to be even better. If I should be honest is Sergey a lot faster than most people think,” concludes Vandoorne.

Many F1 fans were outraged and disappointed because Sirotkin battle for the seat at Williams has won by Robert Kubica. The Polish winner of the grand prix of Canada in 2008, had this year a road teruggevochten to the F1 after an injury that he suffered in a rallycrash in 2011. It lost Kubica almost a forearm.
