“Of that duel, I remember that Mertens is an excellent player,” said Wozniacki Tuesday. “She has a lot of talent, has an incredible start to a year and played here for an excellent tournament. I realize that I will have to serve and return and aggressive will have to play her a lot to make it move. I look forward to this party.”

In her semi-final defeated Wozniacki, at the end of last year laureate at the WTA Finals in Singapore, just after midnight, the Spanish Carla Suarez Navarro (WTA-39), 6-0, 6-7 (3/7) 6-2. “It is fantastic to be back here in the semi-finals. It was a long time ago (2011). I had a good start to the party, but despite the fact that I have the first set won 6-0, I knew that the loot had not yet arrived. After the loss of the second set I was angry with myself because I have a matchbal not used, but I am proud that I my ease have kept. And I guess that I had more energy left at the end.”
