Besides Elise Mertens was there Tuesday, of course, at the Australian Open. The Brit Kyle Edmund has joined the men surprisingly qualified for the semi-finals at the expense of Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov, this autumn, another winner of the Masters.

The Brit Kyle Edmund (ATP 49) defeated surprisingly, the Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov (ATP 3), this autumn is still the winner of the Masters, in four sets (6-4, 3-6, 6-3 and 6-4). For the 23-year-old Edmund it is his first semifinal at a grand slam tournament. In the other quarter-finals, the Swiss Roger Federer (ATP 2) against the Czech Tomas Berdych (ATP 20) and the American Tennys Sandgren (ATP 97) compared to the South Korean Hyeon Chung (ATP 58). Those last two players stuntten in their eighth-finals, by, respectively, the Austrian Dominic Thiem (ATP 5) and the Serb Novak Djokovic (ATP 14) home send.
