Thomas Vermaelen (32) is two weeks out of battle with a hamstring injury. That has his club, FC Barcelona announced Monday.

The defender hurt himself Sunday in the 41st minute of the league game against Betis Sevilla (0-5 win). In the 43rd minute was Vermaelen replaced by Samuel Umtiti. Medical tests on Monday to confirm that the Red Devil a hamstring injury suffered in his left leg.
