The Dakar caravan gets Monday for an extra day of rest. The ninth stage, between the Bolivian Tupiza and the Argentine Salta, is cancelled because of bad weather. That made the organization of the rallyraid Sunday known.
“The ride was cancelled because there today in the bivouac quite a bit of flooding and for tomorrow we expect a number of storms,” says wedstrijddirecteur Marc Coma. “These are not suitable conditions for the game to continue.”
The caravan would be Monday 242 km against the clock to cover and 513 km connection.
