Joan Barreda Bort (Honda) has Saturday in Bolivia, the seventh stage in the 39th Dakar motorcycle wins. For 425 km between La Paz and Uyuni had the 34-year-old Spaniard 2:51 less than the Frenchman Adrien van Beveren (Yamaha). The Spanish rider, however, was not at all happy after his dagsucces.

The Argentinian Kevin Benavides (Honda) was on 8:02 third and played his leadership position lost to Beveren. In the position, the 27-year-old Van Beveren is now 3:14, for on Benavides and 4:45 on Barreda Bort.

For Barreda Bort, it’s the 21st stage win in the monsterrally, and the third in this edition. Earlier he also won the second and the fifth stage. The Spanish rider, however, was not at all happy after his dagsucces. The Honda rider, with ambition for the stage win started, complained afterwards about a painful knee and think to specify.

“I can’t look at my leg and I think my kneecap is broken”, she said. “I don’t see so quickly how the rally can continue.”

After 300 kilometers, came Barreda Bort fall and he landed hard on his knee. “The pain was intense and I had a slower drive.”

The eighth stage Sunday on Bolivian soil finished. Between Uyuni and Tupiza racing the riders 498 kilometers against the clock.
