Soufiane Bouchikhi has Sunday the 37th edition of the Sylvestercross in the Dutch Soest won. The stage was full Belgian, Bashir Abdi on the second and Jeroen D’hoedt is on the third place.
The 27-year-old Bouchikhi put the 10.4 km in 35:08. In 2013, he ended the Sylvestercross on the second place, in 2014 he came third over the finish line. Three weeks ago it was Bouchikhi fifth at the european CHAMPIONSHIPS cross country running.
Abdi finished second in 35:45. D’hoedt completed the podium in 36:04. Koen Naert (36:56) was eighth, for Pieter-Jan Hannes (37:10).
In the women’s race, the victory was to the Polish Katarzyna Rutkowska, 22:42 needed for six kilometers. The Danish Anna Holm (22:49) was second, the Dutch Andrea Deelstra (23:00) third.
In the short cross when the men were two of the first places for Belgium, with Ramdan Snoussi (10:40) and Ali Hamdi (10:51). When the women was Renée Eykens (12:57) third, behind the Dutch Famke Heinst (12:39) and Karen Nieuwenhuijsen (12:50).
