NFL WEEK FOURTEEN

Of all of the weekends not to pick the chalk teams, I went with this one and got royally screwed. I could have easily been 14-2 this week but finished 9-7, which isn’t bad…considering that…

The Patriots, Steelers, and Vikings all lost this week.

Jay Culter: 8 of 17 for 148 yards against the Rams. The Rams? Yikes…

The New York Giants are still playing poorly. They won ugly but the Eagles stayed hot on the road and I still think that division belongs to Philadelphia.

San Diego is very for real even though it was close…I’m still buying them to make it to the divisional playoff round. Actually, now that other first round bye is up for grabs I can see them snatching it out from underneath everybody else’s nose if they continue to play the way they have been playing.

The Saints almost lost but so what? At this point, they’re so far ahead of everybody else it’s not even funny. (Other than the Vikings who showed vulnerability in the Sunday night game) The Colts won decidedly again which I didn’t exactly predict but should have.

Week 14 picks:

Buffalo Bills 23, Kansas City Chiefs 14

Miami Dolphins 28, Jacksonville Jaguars 13

Tennessee Titans 27, St. Louis Rams 6

Pittsburgh Steelers 27, Cleveland Browns 10

Indianapolis Colts 42, Denver Broncos 28

New England Patriots 26, Carolina Panthers 14

Green Bay Packers 34, Chicago Bears 7

San Diego Chargers 38, Dallas Cowboys 35

Minnesota Vikings 28, Cincinnati Bengals 27

New York Jets 27, Tampa Bay Buccaneers 21

Baltimore Ravens 32, Detroit Lions 14

Houston Texans 20, Seattle Seahawks 10

New York Giants 34, Philadelphia Eagles 33

New Orleans Saints 33, Atlanta Falcons 18

Washington Redskins 13, Oakland Raiders 12

Arizona Cardinals 41, San Francisco 49ers 19

Saints almost have an off week as they play the Falcons who are bruised and beaten.

Vikings / Bengals is a great matchup. That game could be the of the week.

Arizona is legit but still just first round legit…they can’t possibly squeak their way into the conference championships. Not enough to win one again.

New England will be back they are going to be very silent when it comes to play calling until the postseason which I’m sure they’ll be ready for.

In week 14 I’m taking the Giants to win because I have to believe they can pull it together even though I really don’t. The Broncos Colts game should be a fun game to watch for the fans.

I also look for the Bears to get lit up by Green Bay this weekend. It might be time for a new coach in Chicago. Additionally, we have two Super Bowl rematches this week. (NE/CAR and TEN/STL).

The Steelers can’t lose to the Browns can they?

Can they?
