New Beer: Sierra Nevada Torpedo Extra IPA

sierranevadalog - New Beer: Sierra Nevada Torpedo Extra IPA

In January, Sierra Nevada is set to release a new year round beer called “Torpedo”. Being a hop head, I have high expectations.

Info via Beer Advocate: Sierra Nevada will be releasing Torpedo Extra IPA as a new addition to our year-round staple of beers. The tentative release date is January 15.
This is the first of two new year-round beers for Sierra Nevada in 2009, and the first change in our year-round lineup since we started back in 1980.

The beer will be available in 6-packs, with the same distribution as all of our other year-round and seasonal beers.Torpedo is in a grey area, somewhere between an IPA and a

  • nice post man. I’ll be looking forward to this beer. I was at a bar in Iowa the other day who had “$1.23 Domestic draft beer until Monday Night Football.” I had 2 Sierra Nevada draft beers before kick off and was charged $4.50 for each and when I asked the waitress and prompted her that they were made out of California thus designating them as domestic she replied with, “Oh that’s weird I don’t know.”
